“Tiger Tiger Burning Bright” Group Show

I’m participating in a  group show at Roq La Rue Gallery in Seattle based around the theme of tigers, inspired by the dynamic poem ” The Tiger” by visionary artist and painter William Blake. I incorporated Luey into my piece titled “The Last Ride”.

2010 is the Year of the Tiger in the Chinese calendar, and the animal is a very visible example of the environmental problem of habitat loss and rampant poaching, with the reported last wild Indochinese tiger being killed and eaten in December 2009.

Here’s a list of the artists:

Audrey Kawasaki, Robert Hardgrave, Travis Louie, Lisa Petrucci, Isabel Samaras, Robert Burden, Jason D’Aquino, Nouar, Jim Blanchard, Angelique Houtcamp, Bob Dob, Anthony Ausgang, Ann-Marie Manker, Yumiko Kayukawa, Jaw Cooper, and more…

“Black Eyed Mouseketeers” Print

Sorry for the lack of activity on my blog. Having 3 kids will do that. However, I’m very excited to announce a new print I have with Paper Tiger Press . They’ve release a consolidation of my Black Eyed Mouseketeers from my show in Phoenix a few months back. It’s only an edition of 25 plus a few artists prints. The print looks great.!

I have a children’s clothing line coming out this week called Imp Clothing. It’s been a work in progress for the last year but it’s finally going to launch. More info to come soon. Here’s a few designs. I’ll send out a mass e-mail when it officially launches.

Tattoo Luey

I’ve recently come across some fans of my Luey character who had him tattooed on them. Check out the images below. The first on the ankle is Jason Willis tattooed by Skot Ives from Laughing Gremlin Tattoos in Wyoming.  And the second on the shoulder is Javier from Argentina. Pretty cool.

And the reason I haven’t been updating this weekly anymore is below. There names are Sid and June born June 9th.  Good times.

The Thinker Drawing

Here’s a commission I’m working on for my friend Nathan Ota. My concept here is, what if a cloud of thoughts hovered over everyone’s head.  The toilet part is Nathan’s request.

Any drawings on the blog are for sale.  E-mail me if your interested.
